InterMed further complies with an approved plan on file and is in line with medical treatment guidelines as set forth in the Medical Treatment Utilization Schedule and other evidence based medical and disability guidelines.

Our Utilization Review team follows evidence based medical treatment guidelines, including Medical Treatment Utilization Schedule and the Acupuncture Medical Treatment Guidelines. In addition, InterMed uses: ACOEM, Official Disability Guidelines (ODG), Milliman Care Guidelines, Blue Cross, Aetna, CIGNA, MEDLINE, National Guideline Clearinghouse and the State of Colorado Medical Treatment Guidelines.
Our state-of-the-art Bill Review team process is upgraded monthly to ensure regulatory compliance in all jurisdictions where the company does business. For conditions or injuries not addressed by any of the above guidelines, InterMed's physician reviewers use an evidence based rating methodology.
