InterMed’s Telephonic Case Management Nurses work with prescribing physicians to negotiate lower-cost medications and address drug testing and drug alternatives. In addition, our Pharmacy Benefit Management partner enables injured workers access to a retail pharmacy network of nearly 70,000 pharmacies nationwide as well as First Fill and Pharmacy Card benefits. As a result, our clients typically spend less on medications, and their injured workers use fewer compounded medications and opiates in combination with other drugs.
